Leaving and Transport: All fees associated with shipping or transportation are the responsibility of the buyer (e.g., cost of transport, heath certificates, testing, crates, vet visits, etc.). If you plan on using a transporter, please contact them and see if arrangements can be made for pickup before placing a deposit. If you’d like to use a ground transportation service, the transporter must be able to pick up at R&R Sugar Loaf Farm in Lincoln, AR. We cannot meet transporters on their route. Transportation pricing varies but fees can start at $400 per animal. We do offer personal transportation on all our goats sold, for an additional transport fee. Expect a minimum of $400 per goat for transportation from us. We do not offer air shipping.
If you, the buyer, back out of a sale for any reason, you will forfeit the deposit and all payments towards the animal, and the animal will be listed for sale again. If the goat(s) has not been picked up within 10 days from the date of sale, or the arranged pickup date, unless mutually agreed upon, the sale will be considered forfeited, and any fees paid are NON-REFUNDABLE.
If we feel unsafe transportation has been obtained, we reserve the right to cancel/hold the sale until adequate transportation is provided. Once our goat(s) are handed over to a transporter or buyer, they assume all responsibility for the health and safety of the goat(s).
At the time the buyer reserves the goat, arrangements must be made for pickup of the animal at our convenience as well as the buyer's. If those plans fall through, other plans must be made for pickup. It is extremely important that the buyer follow through with these plans.
Once an animal leaves R&R Sugar Loaf Farm it is up to you, the buyer, to ensure it is properly cared for in transit. We will not be held responsible for animals who become injured or ill during shipping. Unfortunately, accidents happen. Our animals are healthy, happy, and loved, we want to ensure they stay that way in their new homes! We do not guarantee the health of any goat(s) once it has left our farm. Stress is quite common in both kids and adults of all ages when being transported from one farm to another. Illness, disease, and in rare cases death can occur if the goat is not properly handled. R&R Sugar Loaf Farm will not be responsible for stress, illness, or death after the goat(s) has left our farm. All sales are FINAL once the animal has left our farm.
Before leaving, all goats will be disbudded, tattooed, and have age-appropriate vaccines, dewormings (if needed), coccidia prevention, topical parasite control (if needed), and hooves trimmed. (unless other arrangements are made with the buyer prior to the goat(s) leaving) Buyers will be provided a detailed list of when each item was completed. We are working towards having DNA on file for our entire herd. Bucks will be added first and then does.
Goats sold to out of State Buyers: Any goats sold outside the state of Arkansas may require a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI). If you are planning on buying an animal from us and require a certificate there will be a $60.00 fee for this service. You must let us know when you make a purchase that a CVI will be needed. If you choose not to inform us, then all responsibility is buyers. ALL GOATS TRANSPORTED BY R&R SUGAR LOAF FARM TO THE BUYER WILL REQUIRE A CVI. NO EXCEPTIONS.
