GOAT KIDS: All kids who are not polled will be disbudded. If you are wanting a horned kid, then arrangements will need to be made upon reservation and a deposit of the full purchase price will be due at that time. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. We disbud all our dairy goats at 7-10 days old, or before.
Kids being sold as registered will be sold with their registration papers or applications from ADGA or AGS unless otherwise stated.
Since goats are herd animals you need to make sure to start with at least 2. We will not sell a single goat kid to an individual who does not already own a goat(s) or does not have plans to acquire another goat from either us or another resource at the same time.
During the kidding season we may end up with a surplus of bucklings that can go as wethers. These kids make great companions for other goats. Our wethers are usually sold at a reduced price.
Kid(s) who are being dam raised will be weaned and ready to leave between 8-12 weeks of age. Kid(s) must be picked up within 2 weeks of weaning. If you fail to pick up by the agreed upon date, there will be a daily boarding fee of $5 per day. If the kid(s) has not been picked up within 30 days from the agreed upon date, unless mutually agreed upon in writing, then the sale will be considered forfeited, and any/all fees paid are nonrefundable.
Stress is quite common in both kids and adults of all ages when moved from one place to another. Illness, disease, and in rare cases death can occur if the animal is not properly handled or treated. R&R Sugar Loaf Farm will not be responsible for stress/illness/sickness of any kind after the animal leaves our farm. For that reason, all sales are final once the animal leaves our farm.
ADULT ANIMALS: You are always welcome to inquire about goats that are not posted for sale. Many that we have sold in the past were done so without being publicly posted. We are a show herd, and each year we must make difficult cuts of high-quality animals to be able to move our breeding program along without growing our herd exponentially.

Goats can be held with a half down (or mutually agreed upon) NON-REFUNDABLE deposit and must be paid for in full before leaving R&R Sugar Loaf Farm. Deposits are taken on a first-come first serve basis, and NO GOATS WILL BE HELD WITHOUT A DEPOSIT IN HAND. Adult goats can be held at R&R Sugar Loaf Farm for two weeks from a deposit being placed. If the goat is not picked up by the agreed upon date, then a $5 per day boarding fee will be charged.
Bred does who have either a deposit placed on them or are paid for in full and are left at R&R Sugar Loaf Farm for an extended period of time, and kid during this period, will result in R&R Sugar Loaf Farm retaining all kids as payment for the continued care of the doe and her kids. It is of utmost importance to us that goats leave by the agreed upon date. We do all that we can to ensure that your goat purchasing experience is successful and therefore goats will only leave when we believe they are ready to.
Pedigree: Our goats are registered with ADGA or AGS, unless otherwise stated. If the animal is a result of our breeding, we guarantee that the sire and dam are correct. We DO NOT guarantee the validity of the rest of the pedigree, or the pedigree of animals we did not breed. It is simply out of our ability to know/verify that goat lineage from other herds is 100% accurate. R&R Sugar Loaf Farm guarantees that the goat(s) we sell are free from teat defects. We do not guarantee adult height on young kids sold but will disclose when an adult animal for sale is known to be over height by ADGA/AGS standards. We do NOT guarantee any goat from R&R Sugar Loaf Farm to be free of all genetic defects. There are too many factors at play when genetics are being crossed. Some of these issues do not arise until later in adulthood. Line breeding is a common practice where genetic defects can occur more.
Deposits received acknowledge acceptance of this purchase agreement. Except pets or wethers, all kids sold will have paperwork ready for ADGA and/or AGS registrations if applicable. All animals will be up to date on shots and or meds as needed, and sold as healthy animals as far as we know.
