About
R&R Sugar Loaf Farm is located in the beautiful valley plains of Northwest Arkansas.
Our farm story started back in 2002 when we bought our current property. We both grew up around animals, Robert mainly cattle and Ryan more dogs, cats, and small pets. We've always had pets such as dogs and cats on our farm, and we've always had cattle or pigs for meat.
It wasn't until our children got into 4-H that we got our first set of goats, and the rest is history. Well, it's been hard work and a great reward for us to achieve as much as we have over the years. We've taken our time to build the goat herd, and are happy to see it where it is now.
When we first started with goats it was with a small Boer herd. As that herd grew, and out children started to show the goats locally, we expanded into our Nigerian Dwarf dairy herd. At first it was primarily for the milk needs of the expanding Boer herd and the consistent bottle raised kids each year. We absolutely fell in love with the Nigerian Dwarf breed, and have recently phased out our Boer herd.
We now show, milk, participate in performance programs with ADGA and AGS, and mentor others new to goats of any breed.
Neither of us could have ever imagined what a blessing it has been to journey through the years with our goats. It has brought so much joy to us and our family. We now share our passion of goats and farming through Facebook and YouTube, along with events and shows each year.
